Position Summary for Site Coordinator ($20-$24 per hour): –Kama’aina Kids is seeking an enthusiastic and responsible individual to join our team as a Site Coordinator in our After School programs. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of an after-school program.
Schedule:-The typical schedule for After School is Monday through Friday, from 1:30 or 2pm until 5:30pm. Some programs operate Before School from 5:45 or 6:30am until 8am. Hours may vary slightly by school and program needs. However, No Evenings or Weekends! Site Coordinators average about 20 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in education or a related field is preferred, but candidates with a minimum of three years of experience in educating students will also be considered.
- A passion for working with children and a commitment to making a positive impact on their lives on a daily basis.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish positive relationships with both families and coworkers.
- Must also be able to create a dynamic and enjoyable learning environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capability to handle multiple tasks and situations effectively.
- Experience in a supervisory role within a child care or education environment is appreciated.
Site Coordinators will supervise and support Group Leaders as they implement the program each day. They often interact with school officials and parents. Some time is also spent each week on administrative duties including training, recruiting, marketing, and monitoring program quality. Site Coordinators average about 20 hours per week.
Position Summary for Group Leader ($16-$19 per hour):-Kama’aina Kids is seeking energetic and reliable individuals to join our team as Group Leaders in our After School program. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a group of students during our after-school program hours. (And get paid to play board games & do crafts!)
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for students to learn and engage in after-school activities.
- Help develop and implement age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, games, and educational projects.
- Ensure that all students are accounted for and maintain accurate attendance records.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the success of the program.
- Establish support and appropriate relationships with children and their families, providing daily updates to parents/guardians.
- Care for and maintain facilities and equipment used by the group, with a focus on hygiene standards.
- Attend and participate in all required training and meetings.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or GED
- No experience required, full training provided
